Blue screens are generally caused by problems with your computer’s hardware or issues with its hardware driver software. Standard software shouldn’t be able to cause blue screens. It's likely a problem with your video card, monitor, or other hardware.
When a blue screen occurs, Windows automatically creates a “minidump” file that contains information about the crash and saves it to into disk in C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP . You can view information about these minidumps to help identify the cause of the blue screen.

Remove unsupported devices
Unsupported hardware may also result in a BSOD error. The solved this problem is to uninstall such hardware.
I can tell you by my experience that a majority of the blue screen errors I have faced are due to one of two things:
Device drivers(Mostly Display driver)
A corrupt registry can also lead to BSOD errors in Windows 7. I would suggest you to download a good registry cleaner and scan your system for registry errors.
